وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ليس الشديد بالصرعة، إنما الشديد الذى يملك نفسه عند الغضب‏"‏ ‏(‏متفق عليه‏‏‏)‏ ‏. ‏(رياض الصالحين 45)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The strong man is not one who is good at wrestling, but the strong man is one who controls himself in a fit of rage." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 45].

وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏‏"‏إذا أراد الله بعبده خيراً عجل له العقوبة في الدنيا، وإذا أراد الله بعبده الشر أمسك عنه بذنبه حتى يوافي به يوم القيامة‏"‏‏.‏ وقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏"‏إن عظم الجزاء مع عظم البلاء، وإن الله تعالى إذا أحب قوماً ابتلاهم، فمن رضي فله الرضى، ومن سخط فله السخط‏"‏ ‏‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي وقال ‏:‏ حديث حسن‏‏‏)‏‏. ‏(رياض الصالحين 43)‏

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When Allah intends good for His slave, He punishes him in this world, but when He intends an evil for His slave, He does not hasten to take him to task but calls him to account on the Day of Resurrection." [At-Tirmidhi] [Riyad as-Salihin 43].

Selon Anas (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui), le messager d’Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit : « Quand Allah veut du bien de Son serviteur, Il anticipe son châtiment ici-bas. Quand Il veut du mal de Son serviteur, Il s'abstient de le châtier pour sa faute jusqu'à ce qu'il en reçoive sa punition entière le jour de la résurrection. Le Prophète (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit aussi : « La grandeur de la récompense va de pair avec la grandeur de l'épreuve. Allah - Le Très Haut, quand Il aime les gens, les éprouve. Celui qui accepte l'épreuve avec abnégation aura la satisfaction d’Allah; et celui qui lui oppose son mécontentement, Allah sera mécontent de lui. » | Rapporté par At-Tirmidhi [Riyad as-Salihin 43].

وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال ‏:‏ لما كان يوم حنين آثر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ناساً في القسمة، فأعطى الأقرع بن حابس مائة من الإبل، وأعطى عيينة بن حصن مثل ذلك، وأعطى ناساً من أشراف العرب وآثرهم يومئذ في القسمة‏.‏ فقال رجل‏:‏ والله إن هذه قسمة ما عدل فيها، وما أريد فيها وجه الله، فقلت ‏:‏ والله لأخبرن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فأتيته فأخبرته بما قال‏:‏ فتغير وجههه حتى كان كالصرف ‏.‏ ثم قال ‏ "‏ فمن يعدل إذا لم يعدل الله ورسوله‏؟‏ ثم قال‏:‏ يرحم الله موسى قد أوذي بأكثر من هذا فصبر‏"‏‏.‏ فقلت‏:‏ لا جرم لا أرفع إليه بعدها حديثاً‏.‏ ‏‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏‏‏)‏ ‏.‏ ‏(رياض الصالحين 42)

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
After the battle of Hunain, Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) favoured some people in the distribution of spoils (for consolation). He gave Al-Aqra' bin Habis and 'Uyainah bin Hisn a hundred camels each and showed favour also to some more honourable persons among the Arabs. Someone said: "This division is not based on justice and it was not intended to win the Pleasure of Allah." I said to myself: "By Allah! I will inform Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) of this." I went to him and informed him. His face became red and he said, "Who will do justice if Allah and His Messenger do not?" Then he said, "May Allah have mercy on (Prophet) Musa (Moses); he was caused more distress than this but he remained patient." Having heard this I said to myself: "I shall never convey anything of this kind to him in future". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 42].

Ibn Mas'ud (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui) a dit : « Quand ce fut le fameux jour de Houneyn, le Messager d’Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) fit des préférences à certains dans le partage du butin. Ainsi donna-t-il à Al Aqra Ibn Habis cent chameaux. Il donna la même chose à ‘Ouyayna Ibn Hisn. Il donna aussi à des gens parmi la noblesse arabe en les favorisant dans le partage. Quelqu'un dit alors : « Par Allah, voila bien une répartition qui manque de justice et où l’on n’a pas recherché la satisfaction d’Allah. » Je me dis alors : « Par Allah, j'en informerai l'Envoyé d’Allah ! » Je me rendis effectivement auprès de lui et lui contai la chose. Son visage devint rouge intense et il dit : « Qui donc est juste si Allah et Son Messager ne le sont pas ? » Puis il ajouta : « Qu’Allah fasse miséricorde à Moïse ! On lui a fait en effet des torts bien plus grands et il endura pourtant avec patience. » Je dis : « Désormais, je ne lui rapporterai plus de tels propos. » | Rapporté par Boukhari & Mouslim [Riyad as-Salihin 42].

وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏يضحك الله سبحانه وتعالى إلى رجلين يقتل أحدهما الآخر يدخلان الجنة، يقاتل هذا في سبيل الله فيقتل، ثم يتوب الله على القاتل فيسلم فيستشهد‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏(رياض الصالحين24‏)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah, the Exalted, smiles at two men, one of them killed the other and both will enter Jannah. The first is killed by the other while he is fighting in the Cause of Allah, and thereafter Allah will turn in mercy to the second and guide him to accept Islam and then he dies as a Shaheed (martyr) fighting in the Cause of Allah."

Selon Abu Hurayra (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui), le Messager d'Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit : « Allah glorifié et exalté rit à la vue de deux hommes dont l’un tue l’autre et qui entrent pourtant tous deux au Paradis : L’un d’eux combat sur le chemin d'Allah et y est tué. Puis Allah agrée le repentir du meurtrier qui embrasse alors l’Islam et connaît à son tour le martyre pour la cause d'Allah ». | Hadith unanimement reconnu authentique [Riyad as-Salihin 24]

وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ لو أن لابن آدم وادياً من ذهب أحب أن يكون له واديان، ولن يملأ فاه إلا التراب، ويتوب الله على من تاب‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏(رياض الصالحين 23)

Ibn 'Abbas and Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If a son of Adam were to own a valley full of gold, he would desire to have two. Nothing can fill his mouth except the earth (of the grave). Allah turns with mercy to him who turns to Him in repentance".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].[Riyad as-Salihin 23].

Selon Ibn ‘Abbas (qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui) et Anas Ibn Malek (qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui), le Messager d'Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit : « Si le fils d’Adam avait une vallée pleine d’or, il en souhaiterait une deuxième. Seule la terre en effet peut lui remplir la bouche. Allah accepte pourtant le repentir de qui revient à Lui ». | Hadith unanimement reconnu authentique [Riyad as-Salihin 23]

وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ من يرد الله به خيراً يصب منه‏"‏ ‏:‏ ‏‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏‏‏)‏‏.‏  ‏(رياض الصالحين 39)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "He whom Allah intends good, He makes him to suffer from some affliction". [Al- Bukhari] [Riyad as-Salihin 39].


Abou Hourayra (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui) a dit, le Messager d’Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit : « Celui a qui Allah veut du bien se voit touché dans ce qu'il à de plus cher ». | Rapporté par Boukhari [Riyad as-Salihin 39].

وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ دخلت على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يوعك فقلت‏:‏ يارسول الله إنك توعك وعكاً شديداً قال‏:‏ ‏"‏أجل إني أوعك كما يوعك رجلان منكم‏"‏ قلت‏:‏ ذلك أن لك أجرين ‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏أجل ذلك كذلك ما من مسلم يصيبه أذى؛ شوكة فما فوقها إلا كفر الله بها سيئاته ، وحطت عنه ذنوبه كما تحط الشجرة ورقها‏"‏ ‏(‏متفق عليه‏‏‏)‏ ‏.‏  ‏(رياض الصالحين 38)

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I visited the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was suffering fever. I said, "You seem to be suffering greatly, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Yes, I suffer as much as two persons." I said, "Is that because you have a double reward?" He replied that that was so and then said, "No Muslim is afflicted by a harm, be it the pricking of a thorn or something more (painful than that), but Allah thereby causes his sins to fall away just as a tree sheds its leaves". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 38].

Ibn Mas'ud (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui) a dit : « Je m'introduis chez le Prophète (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) alors qu'il était en proie à une forte fièvre. Je dis : « O Messager d’Allah! Te voilà atteint d'une fièvre violente ! ». Il dit : « Oui vraiment. Je souffre autant que deux personnes ». Je dis « Est-ce du fait que tu obtiendras une double récompense ? » Il dit : « Oui, c'est ainsi. Il n'est pas un Musulman qui souffre d'un mal, d'une d'épine qui le pique, ou de quelque chose de plus important, sans qu’Allah ne lui efface à cause de cela ses mauvaises actions et sans que ses péchés ne tombent comme tombent les feuilles mortes de l'arbre ». | Rapporté par Boukhari & Mouslim [Riyad as-Salihin 38].

وعن أبي سعيد وأبي هريرة رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏"‏ما يصيب المسلم من نصب ولا وصب ولا هم ولا حزن ولا أذى ولا غم، حتى الشوكة يشاكها إلا كفر الله بها من خطاياه‏"‏ ‏(‏متفق عليه‏‏‏)‏ ‏. ‏(رياض الصالحين 37)

Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 37].

Selon Abou Sa'id et Abou Hourayra (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui), le Prophète (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) a dit : « Il n'est pas une fatigue ou une maladie, ou un souci, ou une peine, ou un mal, ou une angoisse qui touche le Musulman, jusqu'à l'épine qui le pique, sans qu’Allah ne lui efface à cause de cela une partie de ses péchés ». | Rapporté par Boukhari & Mouslim  [Riyad as-Salihin 37].

وعن أبي عبد الرحمن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ كأني انظر إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يحكي نبياً من الأنبياء، صلوات الله وسلامه عليهم، ضربه قومه فأدموه وهو يمسح الدم عن وجهه، يقول ‏:‏ ‏ "‏اللهم اغفر لقومى فإنهم لا يعلمون‏"‏ ‏(متفق عليه‏)‏ ‏.‏ ‏(رياض الصالحين 36)

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I can still recall as if I am seeing the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) resembling one of the Prophets whose people scourged him and shed his blood, while he wiped blood from his face, he said: "O Allah! Forgive my people, because they certainly do not know". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 36].


‘Abdullâh Ubn Mas'ud (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui) a dit : « C'est comme si je voyais encore le messager de D’Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) racontant l'histoire de l'un des Prophètes que son peuple avait frappé au point de faire couler son sang. Il essuyait le sang de son visage et disait : « Seigneur Allah! Pardonne à mon peuple car il ne sait pas ! ». |Rapporté par Boukhari & Mouslim [Riyad as-Salihin 36].

وعن عطاء بن أبي رباح قال‏:‏ قال لي ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما‏:‏ ألا أريك امرأة من أهل الجنة ‏"‏ فقلت‏:‏ بلى، قال‏:‏ هذه المرأة السوداء أتتت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقالت ‏:‏ إني أصرع، و إني أتكشف، فادع الله تعالى لي قال‏:‏ ‏"‏إن شئت صبرت ولك الجنة، وإن شئت دعوت الله تعالى أن يعافيك‏"‏ فقالت‏:‏ أصبر، فقالت‏:‏ إني أتكشف ، فادع الله أن لا أتشكف ، فدمعا لها‏.‏ ‏(متفق عليه)‏ ‏. ‏(رياض الصالحين 35)‏

'Ata' bin Abu Rabah reported:
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) asked him whether he would like that he should show him a woman who is from the people Jannah. When he replied that he certainly would, he said, "This black woman, who came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, 'I suffer from epilepsy and during fits my body is exposed, so make supplication to Allah for me.' He (ﷺ) replied: 'If you wish you endure it patiently and you be rewarded with Jannah, or if you wish, I shall make supplication to Allah to cure you?' She said, 'I shall endure it.' Then she added: 'But my body is exposed, so pray to Allah that it may not happen.' He (Prophet (ﷺ)) then supplicated for her". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] [Riyad as-Salihin 35].

‘Ata' Ibn Rabah a dit : « Ibn ‘Abbas (qu’Allah soit satisfait de lui) m'a dit: « Veux-tu que je te montre une femme de ceux qu'Allah destine au Paradis ? » Je dis : « Oui ». Il dit : « Cette femme noire est venue dire au prophète (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) : « J'ai des crises d'épilepsie au cours desquelles il m'arrive de me découvrir malgré moi. Prie donc Allah – Le Très Haut - pour moi » ! Il lui dit : « Si tu fais preuve de patience, tu obtiendras le Paradis en échange, et, si tu veux que je prie Allah – Le Très Haut - pour ta guérison, je le fais et Il te guérira ». Elle dit : « Je préfère alors patienter ». Puis elle ajouta : « Il m'arrive dans ces crises de me découvrir, prie Allah pour que cela ne m'arrive plus ». Et il (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) pria pour elle. | Rapporté par Boukhari & Mouslim [Riyad as-Salihin 35].

وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول ‏:‏ ‏"‏إن لله عزوجل قال‏:‏ إذا ابتليت عبدي بحبيبتيه فصبر عوضته منهما الجنة‏"‏ ، ‏‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏‏)‏‏.‏  ‏(رياض الصالحين 34)

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Allah, the Glorious and Exalted said: 'When I afflict my slave in his two dear things (i.e., his eyes), and he endures patiently, I shall compensate him for them with Jannah.". [Al-Bukhari] [Riyad as-Salihin 34].


Anas rapporte ceci (qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui) : « J'ai entendu le messager d’Allah (Paix et bénédiction d'Allah sur lui) dire : Allah Le Tout Puissant a dit : « Quand J'éprouve Mon serviteur dans les deux choses qu'il aime le plus (ses yeux) et qu'il se montre patient, Je lui donne le Paradis en dédommagement de leur perte ». | Rapporté par Boukhari [Riyad as-Salihin 34].
